Powerful renewable wind

Approximately 40% of all wind energy in Europe* blows over the British Isles, meaning that we are ideally located to benefit from domestic wind turbines.

Harnessing the power of micro-wind or small-wind turbine systems in an exposed position to generate electricity, can produce more than enough energy to power the lights and electrical appliances in a typical home. And businesses and farms too can benefit from wind power as part of a bespoke renewable energy generation strategy that maximises an exposed location.

Ideally you should have a professional assessment of the suitability for wind harnessing as the strength and direction can fluctuate. Plus planning permission will be required. That said, wind can be successfully used in combination with other renewable and conventional systems to make up shortfalls across the year.

Whilst some turbines can generate a megawatt (1000 kW) or more, a standard domestic system can produce between 2.5kW and 6kW depending on the location of the property, so when the wind blows there is a plentiful energy supply.
